Oleta began her carriere in the early 80s using two self financed albums with limited profits. Within 1985 Oleta was discovered by Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith of Tears For Fears whilst performing in the Kansas bar. It invited her to join their band as a third member.

Around 1989 the album The Seeds of Love was freed & a individual Woman inside Chains sung by Oleta Adams using Phil Collins on drums became her hit. Oleta began her solo carriere inside 1990 assisted by her collegues from Tears for Fears who did the production. Het debut album Circle of 1 standard great deal critical plaudit & she scored her large hit up to now within 1991 with her cover of Brenda Russell's Get On this button.

Sustaining her album Moving In (1995) Oletthe start a different counsel & move further in the counsel of R&B.
